Assessment Methodology
This page explains how each assessment is designed, what it measures, and how we score and interpret your answers. Our tools are built on validated, peer-reviewed instruments and are intended for self-understanding—they are not diagnostic and do not replace a clinical evaluation.
Scientific validity
Our tools draw on peer-reviewed instruments (e.g. RAADS-R, AQ, CAT-Q for autism; HSP Scale for sensitivity; ASRS and DSM-5 for ADHD; Big Five for personality). We adapt them for self-screening and use domain-weighted scoring so that results reflect both the strength of traits and their relevance in the research literature. These instruments are designed to support reflection and discussion; they are not diagnostic and should not be used as a substitute for a full assessment by a qualified clinician.
How we present results
Results appear as profiles, spectrums, or scores with narrative summaries that put your numbers in context. You can compare your results over time to see how your responses evolve, and when you complete multiple assessments, you can see how traits overlap and interact in your Blueprint. We aim to present information clearly and in plain language, so you can use it for self-understanding or as a starting point for conversations with a professional.
Results and how to use them
Domain scores show where your responses sit relative to research norms; they are intended for self-understanding and personal insight, not as clinical cut-offs or diagnostic labels. Many people use their results to better understand their cognitive and emotional style, to prepare for or support discussions with a therapist or clinician, or to build a fuller picture in their Blueprint. For a formal diagnosis or treatment plan, you should always see a qualified healthcare professional.
Key terms
If you run into unfamiliar terms—such as masking, sensory sensitivity, or executive function—our neurodiversity glossary explains them in plain language so you can get more out of your results.
Scoring & privacy
Scores are calculated using weighted algorithms and published thresholds from the research literature, so your result reflects both your responses and how they compare to established norms. We take privacy seriously: we do not store raw responses linked to your identity unless you choose to save your profile, and you can delete your data at any time from your account settings.
Important disclaimer
Our assessments are for informational purposes only and are not diagnostic tools. They should not be used as a substitute for professional medical, psychological, or psychiatric evaluation. If you have concerns about neurodiversity or related conditions, please consult with a qualified healthcare professional.
